Thumbs up Alghero Olive Oil

Just rerturned this weekend from Sardegna and whilst wasting a bit of time driving about, as one does when everything seems to be closed. I came across a sign by a dust track saying Olio (Head out past Fertilia airport on the road to Porto Torres, past the Sella and Mosca vine yard on the right over the round-about that would take you to Sassari if you had turned right and a bit further up on the right you will see the afore mentioned sign) I usually get my oil from the shops to take home to the UK but this is the best ever. Just drive into the dusty yard and ring the big bell and the man will come and open up his little store room, where there are about 6-7 large vats cointaining different oils (6E a litre) and jars of flavoured olives for you try before you buy

Enjoy
