Just come back to U.K after a few days in holiday in Bologna, fitted a lot of things
into a few days but come to a roadblock in trying to see a football match at Bologna or Modena. I had been advised (not from this august forum!) that I should approach the information desk in Bologna and they could obtain ticket, I did ask the information desk in Bologna and the Woman there spent a long time phoning various people about ticket purchase but with no success, it appears that to purchase tickets for football matches that take place in Emillia- Romagna region (Serie A or B) you have to be a resident of that region, I had to accept this information as correct but does anybody know otherwise ?. Frustrated bluesmoke !. Last edited by bluesmoke; 02-10-08 at 09:17 PM.. Reason: minor adjust to text, so that it made sense !. |

There was an issue with the Naples match on the 27/9 I see, but don't think this is for every game. Next visit try:
Bar Club Primavera - Prevendita biglietti Bologna Calcio Still, nothing like the bureaucratic hoops I'm going through to play low level women's football. Apparently the authorities are worried about an influx of foreign players coming here and getting paid... they wanted to see my source of income!!! |

Thanks for the reply, maybe you are right about Napoli apparently big problems
in the past between the clubs. On the day of the match last sunday we instead decided to climb the 600 or so arches that link Bologna to St Luca, what a climb....and what a view....we could see the football ground on the way up to St Luca, and of course Bologna lost the match !!!. |

Not sure if this restriction on buying tickets for visting neutral fans or otherwise has anything to do with FIGC, it seemed to apply to Emilia Romagna region so would this be a local decision ?.
Looking at the various football matches on Italian television it is plain to see lots of empty seats in some stadiums, certainly Bologna v Napoli had a large areas empty in the stadium during the game, loss of potential revenue for the clubs ?. |
