1000 Miglia - (exotic motor cars)
This year, 2009, this re-evocation of the famous road race from Brescia to Rome and back will happen majorly on 15th and 16th of May. The programme and route are on the following site. (You have to click on 2009 on the left hand side, and then go to programme for the public to discover transit times through places like San Sepolcro (lunch stop on Friday), Spoleto, Pienza, Monteriggioni (Saturday lunch stop) , Passo di Futa.)
Definitely worth a detour if you are in the area. Mille Miglia - La Corsa pi bella del Mondo
