My daughter wants to fly into Lamezie Terme as she will be alone and does not like coming through Naples to the Rail Station.
I have searched online but cannot find any carrier coming from the UK , the only flight I can see is on Alitalia to Malpensa . Does anyone on Forum know if she could fly directly from the UK ? Pjay |

Cant help regarding Ryanair as they seem to chop and change all the time with their routes.
Best thing to do is keep an eye directly on the Lemzia Termia airport website. They list all flights that operate from that airport. Here is a link to the summer schedule but i guess they will release a winter one soon. There seems to be no direct flights apart from ryanair! So she will need to change flights somewhere in Italy (Milano, Roma etc..) However, if she decides to take the change option, pay the extra price and go with a scheduled airline. Most low costs are point to point airlines which means that if the first flight is delayed then you have lost the second and they wont help you. At least if you pay the extra price they wont leave you stranded if things don't go to plan. |

I heard yesterday that Easyjet is now running a Gatwick - Milano service which then connects with its Milano - Lamezia route.
Haven't had time to check it out. Have to say that Chillout makes a fair point about delays to budget flights, though I've found Easyjet fairly reliable to Naples for the past five years. rgds Eddie B |

I have tried, without success, to try and co-ordinate connecting flights to Lamezia from any airport from the Midlands down. All return flights seem to end up with at least one night stay over.
If anyone has been successful I would be very grateful to know. |

Hi,
I have been looking at flights to Lamezia-Terme airport and it is a real minefield, as most operators are now on the their winter schedules. Having looked around the various websites, I cannot currently find any direct flights but there are German airlines that fly indirectly to Lamezia. The following link takes you to a website that allows you to look at any airport and the operators that go there. Cheap flights to Lamezia Terme Good luck Chris |

You do not mention your daughter's ultimate destination, but we have opted to fly BA from Gatwick to Catania in February and drive up to Tropea from there. It will be 2 hours longer, but at least we do not have the uncertainty of whether Ryanair will be flying or a 6am flight. |
