Default Accommodation in Martina Franca

I'm back in Puglia house-hunting again in early January and wonder whether anybody knows of any companies or individuals which let apartments/town houses for short stays in the centre of Martina.

Default accomodation in Martina Franca

Hi Andy,
Sorry we don`t know anyone who has anything to let but we`ll ask around. It`s a pity `cos we`re hoping to be able to rent a flat out ourselves but not until next summer. Good luck with the house hunting. What sort of house are you looking for?

Try holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/Martina-Franca/5175. I stayed there in October, it's a very nice little apartment in a great position. Very quiet, fairly spacious and reasonably-priced.

From previous experiences, the trouble with me is that if I view 20 vastly different properties I fall in love with at least 15:D So to answer your question, I don't really know other than that it needs to be immediately habitable. My heart tells me a small trullo but my head and my budget (around 100k Euro) suggest that perhaps a rural villa or an apartment/town house in Ostuni, Martina etc may be the more practical option.

I guess this time I'm going very much with an open mind and hope to view examples of each during my stay.

Probably not the best way to approach house hunting in Puglia but convention never was really my style;)

Unfortunately I've tried this one already and it's not available. Shame because it did look nice.

Thanks anyway..

How long are you coming for? If it`s just a few days you might be better booking into a hotel - I imagine the prices won`t be too high at this time of the year.

How many are there of you and has it got to be in Martina? We rented a tiny little Trullo on the outskirts of Ostuni. I could ask but it's not on the open rental market.
