Emilia-Romagna esp. Predappio

Hi folks

I'm heading to Roma and Tuscanny for a couple of weeks soon. I do plan at some stage to visit Predappio for academic interest - I am working on a book and screenplay which has generated some interest.

Can anyone advise whether it would be easier to travel from Rome or from near Siena to Predappio. I realise that it might mean an overnight stay so I am looking for hotel, b&b in Predappio town. Economy is important - I will have to leave funds at base for wife and darling daughter to enjoy my absence.
