Excellent link! I missed it the first time. I have been several times in Bologna and I fully agree with what is described. Thanks again,

Whenever I go to Bologna, I always buy tortellini and, as it is said in the guide, I cook them in broth. The "bolognesi" are right. It is the right way to eat them. For those who do not know the recipe, here you are:

Tortellini in Broth -- Tortellini in Brodo

I know what you mean..... just looking at the windows of all those food shops in Bologna I think that you start adding pounds to your weight....
By the way, my husband´s family was originally from Panicale (Umbria), perhaps near you. Then, part of the family went to Bologna and part of it to Ravenna. Common link: the "tortellini in brodo" for all family celebrations as a first dish.... of the many to follow.....

I was born and still live in Bologna, I love my city and this guide is short but very good! only a clarification:"Then join the thirsty troops at Bologna’s oldest inn, the Osteria del Sole (Vicolo Ranocchi 1/D), where you can eat your own food"....it's absolutely true....you CAN'T buy something to eat there simply because he has only wine! so traditionally we arrive there with bread and mortadella....so...enjoy!!!
every sunday till late september you can also have a run on an Inflatable dinghy throught bologna's channels...even by night! just google searching for "rafting bologna" and you will find it!
I'm here for any further info on my city
ciao

Eventi Sportivi. Urban Rafting - Bologna (BO), Emilia Romagna
this is the link to rafting on bologna's channels....I advice the night tour "polleggio" that means in bologna's slang "slow down!"
