Noble, I dont think I have seen Monreale...(I guess I should know if I have or not right!) but I will add it to my list to do next time. As good as Florence...well Iove both Sicily and Florence but Florence is the absolute top...so high praise indeed from you for Monreale!

I went to Sicily for the first time this Feb just gone and fell in,love with the place..The views are so dramatic, my husband who has family there said in the summer its not like it and more baron, but my goodness it was amazing as soon as we landed my breath was taken away.

We could have visited Palermo. Monreale also ..it was so relaxing we did not leave the town
We stayed with family in san giuseppe jato and actually just saw that town and san cipirello. We visited lots of people and ate lots of food, the people are the best. Next time a might venture out obviously with a group visit the places they recommended.
