Default What's the weather like in Lunigiana now?

We're coming over in just over a week and I'm trying to decide what to bring. My online weather site says it's getting up to 18 degrees some days. Is that true, or does it feel colder than that?

Changing a bit from day to day but definitely feels like spring is here. Has been between high teens and low-mid twenties but we've sat outside plenty - even had to sit under the umbrella once. There were some Italians sunbathing at the little hidden beach at San Terenzo last week so it must have been hot
Cold in the evenings though. We've been out in a mixture of short sleeves, jumpers and light jackets. I'd go for layers - always a safe bet at this time of year cos it's still a bit early and could go cooler again.

I usually have a look here before going to Lunigiana: MeteoApuane.it - Il primo portale meteorologico per Massa e provincia
It has 3 days forecast prediction.

If you don't like those recommendations then try this one, which I have always found accurate.

Hi - it's true. It's been great this last few days - too hot for the sort of jungle clearance work I've been doing. This site is split by comune and has a better accuracy rate than Michael Fish or his uniformed local equivalent! Meteo Tresana| Previsioni meteo Tempo Italia - Weather forecast Tresana

Hope you have alovely trip.

Default Favourite Forecasters

Reading weather report site recommendations on these Forums, it seems we each have our favourites. The one recommended above did not show what actually happened in our area today but I liked it's optimism. Tomorrow's forecast I liked not at all!!
My preference is to see a more finely defined forecast..sort of hour by hour, then at least I know that rain will turn to sun on some days and plan accordingly.
This is the best one I have found so far. Choose your own area of course! Previsioni Meteo Passignano sul Trasimeno | IL METEO.IT

It's been raining. Hard.

Tomorrow should be much better.

As I write this, the sun has emerged and the birds are twittering away.

Default A plea to TuscanHills

Hi David

You may be aware that it has been pi$$ing down here for sometime now and I for one and getting a bit worried about having enough dry wood to get me through to whenever i can stop chucking it in the thermostufa. July seems to be the latest smart estimate.

In the interest of a scientific experiment, I wondefred if you would be willing to try changing your signature to something based on the old "Brare Rabbit" books to try and goad the weather into changing.. maybe "I really would rather it wasn't sunny around the Comune of Tresana"
Much appreciated

I didn't enquire about the temperature whilst on the phone to some of our neighbiours this am, but the rain was certainly getting them down and according to the their forecasters this coming week isn't going to be much better.Rain, rain and more rain & the fields are sopping! So I told them ....Thankyou for that update, but meantime I would just stay put, for at that point in time the sun was trying its best in N.I.!
