Default Roads to the mountains.

We have decided to check out this region in the summer.
We will be taking our caravan,[a first on the continent]

We had been looking for a decent campsite just off the A22,north of bolzano, but as we are talking my son and his girlfriend, the sites we found earlier may not have enough on them for the youngsters [17,16]

It looks like we need to head east or west off the A22 to found a site that is both biggar with more options, but as our caravan is biggish, do not really fancy using tight thin lanes to get to a campsite, thats why we first looked at option close to the A22.

So has anyone traveled on these SP and SS roads to places like Brunico, Lana, Badia, Molerno? ect.As there seems to be a greater choice of camps in the mountains themselfs.

Default campsites in the dolomites

Hi,
I regularly drive from Verona, via Lake Garda to the Brenta Dolomites.
There is a great campsite/caravan park in Madonna di Campiglio called Camping Fae. The roads are pretty good although they do twist and turn a bit as you climb.
I go to this resort in the winter for skiing and tour buses make it easily.
