if you want to rent a 7.5 ton, Ryder do them

however I doubt you will do it cheaper than going professional. Someone like Luker brothers in Oxford do split loads and have the dead capacity issue sussed

give them a try, they will take just about anything, then you have a price to compare

Cool they should tip you

I have been researching ways to transport about a luton van load of household furnature and misc stuff to Abruzzo this May. So far I have costed every route driving one myself with a mate. All in all its very hard to get it down to any less than £1600 and easy to get it to cost more once you allow for stop overs etc.
I called the company in Morcombe and they were so relaxed. They have empty lorries going to italy and comming back loaded every week. They look promising so I will be calling them again to get into the detail in a week or two when i know my dates more. Looks like a good tip.
