Default urgent wedding reception help

future bride and groom in Rome now looking for reception venue for March 2010. Church organised but reception venue proves to be unsuitable. They need somewhere sorted in next 2 days. Reception for approx 40 young children to elderly so needs to be in a hotel in central Rome so children can be put to bed and parents stay at reception. Don't want a modern hotel (or may as well stay at home) but want nice venue with excellent food and reasonably priced accomodation budget for wedding meal approx €100 including wine. Can anyone help please

Have I got this right?

You want an excellent meal, including wine, in a beautiful venue in Rome, for 40 people, for €100!

Is that per head or total?

I know it is a long time away but they are anxious to get it organised and may not be able to get back to Rome before that. €100 per head or a bit more if that is necessary.

Perhaps some of the wedding planners that frequent here will chip in with some thoughts. I couldn't recommend anywhere for that price - I just don't know of anywhere that fits the bill. If they're already using a wedding planner, this should be straight-forward. If not, and no one here helps pretty quick, I can put you in touch with a couple of planners that we work with that may be able to help at short notice. Drop me a PM if you need any contact details.

Thanks we may need to find a wedding planner but hopefully they can do it themselves. They have been for a couple of days in Grottaferria and love the hotel and the food. This is the forerunner at present but the practicality of getting to the church in Rome and back will be a headache. Can anyone suggest a company we could hrie a bus from there will be about 40 people and what the costs would be like?

Thanks

Welcome to English Yellow Pages for Italy - your guide to English-speaking businesses and professionals Try the English Yellow Page, look under Rome and 'Bus Charter and Rental' - two companies are listed both of whom offer and English speaking service. They should be able to give you a quote in English.

Dear Mother of the Bride

Finding a restaurant for 100euros per head really shouldn't be a problem. I have sent you a PM with my details.

I've stayed at Hotel Gladiatori and the roof terrace would be AMAZING for a wedding reception. Its directly opposite / next to the Collesuem. I should imagine it would seat 40 people. No idea how much it would cost though for the meal. The hotel has 17 bedrooms and some self catering apartments.

Good luck!
