Thanks for the responses. :)

I will do the civil ceremony at my home country. The only thing I am doing in Italy is the symbolic wedding.

I will not be needing any paper works. So, I am not sure if I should arrange this on my own or through a wedding planner.

If I arrange this on my own, is there any hotels that have packages? Any recommendations on the hotels?

If I need to go through a wedding planner, any recommendation which ones to use?

I am a little bit nervous on the wedding planner because I only see the web page and not sure how reputable this wedding planner is.

If there is anyone who have done this before and can tell me which hotels or which wedding planner is good, I will really appreciate. :)

Thanks. :)

Hi Gummy

Which is your country? I know there are some tour operators in the UK who will arrange the symbolic wedding part but that's not much good if you're coming from somewhere else.

I'll check out wedding planners and come back to you. Don't worry - it will be great!

Best wishes

Cath.

I am from the US. If the tour operators are good, maybe I can use them even they are in the UK?

Both me and my boyfriend have never been to Europe before. I think it will be very nice.

Thanks for looking into this for me.

I would suggest using a small local based planner/tour operator.
The larger ones in the UK tend to see it as a package holiday with a wedding thrown in.
It's going to be a small event so why have lots of middle men.
UK based tour operators need to by Italian law work through a local agent in Italy so another passage and another cost.
Get yourself a copy of Dream Italian Weddings and Honeymoons----lots of good ads and advise there.
You can also see it on line on this site.
