That's pretty cool for a registry office! I would post some of Slough registry office but I'd hate you all to fall asleep :)

We have our meeting tomorrow to start getting our certificate of non-impediment. It's starting to feel real now!

Bev, bear in mind that the certificate of no impediment is only valid for 6 months.
You have got lots of time to get the nulla osta done as they probably won't issue it at the British Consulate in Venice until much nearer the time anyway.

Thanks for the warning but I checked with our planner in Venice and we were ok for any time after October 9th. By the time it has been displayed for 21 days it won't be signed until mid November so we are well within the six month limit.

I'm so excited I wanted to get it underway!

Sorry Bev, I read your last post in a hurry and thought you were going to collect your certificates tomorrow.
For some reason I thought your wedding was in June which is why I was thinking too early.
So now you can have lots of little celebration bottles of wine.
One tonight cause you've started the paperwork trail.
One when it arrives, when you get the dress, the shoes, the invites out etc etc.
Don't forget to have time to relax in the middle of all this planning lark.

The Italian Town Hall provides the legal part and you add the rest. You need an interpreter who can also help you with this, so that nothing comes as a surprise to the Italian officials on your big day. Everything should be well-sorted in advance.
