Day 1 & 2 Matera and the surrounding area

we will meet in Bari for a short transfer to Matera where we will start our walking holiday in Basilicata and Puglia with a welcome aperitivo and dinner just to get familiar. After lunch we'll take a walk along the ravine where more than 120 rupestrian churches with Byzantine frescos make this place unique and spectacular.

Day 3 & 4 Lecce and the surrounding area

On the 3 day we’ll transfer to Ostuni for a guided tour of the white town with an afternoon trek among centenary olive groves down to a beautiful natural reserve along the coast, The following day will be dedicated to Lecce, with its cathedral, churches and fine Baroque buildings, well known as the Florence of the south.

Day 5 & 6 Oranto and the surrounding area

We start the day with a incredible walk from an old roman road and finish it on the adriatic coast where Enea shored and where some of the oldest graffiti of Europe where found. Afternoon disorganized cultural walks in Otranto to admire, the Aragonese Castello, the Cattedral, the marvellous mosaic (1166) and its tree of life, visits to local artisan and producers will complete the program.
Day 7 departure, transfer to airport or train station.
