We know that this is the only way for each couple or each small group to learn the Italian- Umbria cooking art and to have an unforgettable Umbria experience.

The celebrated chef, caterer, personal chef and teacher, invites you to join her for a hands- on cooking lesson in her beautiful home in Perugia. Located in Umbria, the “green heart of Italy”, the medieval etruscan city of Perugia is a thriving cultural and language center, and the chocolate capital of Italy. The chef has worked and studied in both the united states and Italy for many years and draws on her knowledge of both languages and cultures to make her classes a unique and enjoyable experience. Although the chef speaks Italian as well as english, most classes are offered in english only: clients’ personal input and requests are welcome. An Italian chef/assistant is available for larger classes.

Menus always focus on the freshest seasonal ingredients as well as Umbrian specialties such as truffles, pecorino cheese, and torta al testo. Traditional pasta dishes, specialty desserts and the finest local wines are also featured. Technique classes on specific subjects (hand- made pastas, gnocchi, desserts, sauces, porcini and truffles for example) are also available on special request.

Classes begin at 10AM and last approximately 5 - 6 hours. During this time, you will relax and enjoy the wonderful meal you have helped prepare accompanied by distinctive local wines, water and coffee. You should plan on spending 6-7 hours total.

Classes are available from the First of May until the October, 7, Wednesday through Saturday. Each morning it will be a market visit beginning at 9am.

The home of the chef is located in the historic centre of Perugia.

If you like walk, by walking it takes only about 15,20 minutes from Villa Nuba!

• classes designed especially for small groups.
• on request one person lessons can be arranged, as well as courses that may last more days than 3. Or for group larger than 6 people.
• on request the chef will be glad to cook only for you in you apartment!
