Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band continue to tour their first new studio album together for five years - Magic. This date is at the San Siro Stadium in Milan.

"The Boss" has gained a reputation as one of rock 'n' roll's greatest live performers, giving his all every time he steps on the stage - sometimes playing for up to four hours. No wonder then that his army of fans are so loyal .

Backed by the E Street Band, featuring Roy Bittan (keyboards), Clarence Clemons (saxophone), Danny Federici (keyboards), Nils Lofgren (guitar), Patti Scialfa (vocals & guitar), Garry Tallent (bass), Steven Van Zandt (guitars) and Max Weinberg (drums), Springsteen takes his audience through a remarkable back catalogue of hits spanning four decades.

He announced his arrival with the 1973 release of the Greetings from Asbury Park album. Two years later, Born to Run propelled him to international stardom and it remains one of rock's great albums. Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River and Nebraska continued the examination of US small town life and disillusionment with the American Dream. The theme reached its dénouement with the 1984 release of the multi-million selling Born in the USA.

Subsequent albums, such as Tunnel of Love, Human Touch and The Ghost of Tom Joad, demonstrated Springsteen's maturity and versatility as a songwriter. His last album recorded with the E Street Band, the multi-platinum 2002 release, The Rising, looked again at the psyche of America's heartland, in the wake of September 11.
