Sketches by Federico Fellini featuring his long-suffering secretary and assistant director Liliana Betti went on show in Milan Monday.

Fellini doodled constantly during downtime on his often marathon shoots, showing Betti aka 'the Boss' perched on his head as he peered through the lens or shrouded in tobacco smoke, a habit he chided her about.

Betti kept all the drawings and they can be seen at Milan's Teatro Filodrammatici until December 14.
