Milan beats Rome in liveability rankings

Milan is a better city to live in than Rome, according to a study by the Economist released Monday.

However, neither city fared well in the liveability rankings comparing 140 cities worldwide, compiled by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

Milan came in 50th and Rome 52nd in the study, which assesses cities on stability, health care, environment and culture, education and infrastructure.

Vancouver headed the list, followed by Vienna and Melbourne, while Harare came in last.
