The site is directly opposite a protected sand dune area, the Isca Marina Nature Reserve, with the beach and sea immediately in front of the reserve. The beach is just a 2 minute walk from the development through the designated walk-ways of the nature reserve. In the background inland you have mountain views towards the hill-town of Isca. The seaside village of Isca Marina is just 5 minutes walk. A 10-15 minutes drive or bus ride brings you to the larger well known resort of Soverato, which has wonderful views across the Gulfo de Squillace. Here you find a multitude of bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and all the facilities you could need. It also has a lively nightlife in the summer months. Closer by just a few minutes drive is the smaller town of San Andrea which also has many everyday facilities and nice beaches.
Isca Marina is mainly a residential area, with many private villas, but it is becoming a very sought after area to purchase a property or to rent somewhere for a summer holiday. Southern Italy has mild winter temperatures and lots of sunshine, so it is very popular for long winter breaks and an ideal place to escape from the cold, wet UK winter this makes San Rocco II ideally located for year round use. Although a peaceful and generally quiet area it is also a lively beach area in the busy summer holiday, although the beach rarely becomes crowded because it stretches for miles in either direction.
The San Rocco II site facilities include pleasant communal gardens, parking spaces and a large communal swimming pool. The site is gated and secure. The distance to the airport at Lamezia is around 45 minutes drive via Soverato and the Catanzaro by-pass. Within walking distance is a heated local community indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and coffee shop. Close to the site are a couple of beach bars and restaurants.
