The property is located in a charming hamlet which takes its name from the vine that has proved best suited to the climate and soil of the area, yielding excellent wines that have recently been granted a D.O.C Cortona label. The hamlet, located within the estate of a leading winery is immersed in the Tuscan countryside characterised by rolling hills, fertile vineyards and olive groves is a short distance away from the magnificent town of Cortona renowned for is increasingly prestigious 'Tuscan Sun' festival of music and culture. The hamlet is well placed for communications and just a short drive away from the A1 motorway exit of Val di Chiana and the Siena - Perugia dual carriageway.

The reconstruction of all the buildings is expected to be completed some time during the first half of 2010. All properties will have top quality fixtures and fittings. To further enchant, the living quarters share an abundance of material expressive of the area, such as terracotta tiled floors, traditional stone and brick work and in select quarters period frescoes. Fireplaces have been incorporated in the design of all the properties. All of the apartments utilize radiant heat systems and they also benefit from air conditioning systems. The design for the hamlet was inspired by the principles of environmental conservation.
