This large house is ideally situated in the old town centre close to Cropani Marina on the East coast of Calabria. It offers amazing views to the sea from the rooftop terrace. From the balcony you can look out to the bay of Squillace. Only 7 kms from the beach, this house is for all-year round use and the town is residential so facilities are still open all year.
Cropani itself is a lovely old town with the cathedral dating to the C14th. There are lots of old hill towns all around this area like Gerace and Squillace and monasteries such as Stilo, all well worth a visit. Close by is the Sila National Park with lovely walks in the summer and skiing in the winter. It also has three large lakes.
A road runs across to the West coast which offers many small hill villages and historical old towns. It also offers many sandy and rocky beaches.

Gas, electricity and water are mains supplied and the house has gas central heating. Parking is available outside in the street.
There are many shops and bars in the town as well as a bank and ATM. Larger shops can be found in Cropani Marina and there is a shopping centre a few kilometres away.
It is just 40 minutes from Lamezia Airport (international and national flights) and 30 minutes from Crotone airport (internal flights). It can also be reached by rail from Catanzaro. A good road runs across from West to East and Cropani can be reached via the coast road running up from Catanzaro Lido.
Ryanair flies from London Stansted and other UK airports via Pisa to Lamezia. Easyjet flies from London Gatwick and other UK airports to Milan Malpensa and onwards to Lamezia. Alitalia flies from Rome to Lamezia. Car hire is available at Lamezia airport at reasonable prices from a range of agents. Flights can also be taken from the UK to Rome or Naples where car hire is available to drive down to Calabria. Other European airlines fly into Lamezia.
Condition:
The house has been recently re-decorated and a new bathroom installed. The outside has been cleaned and its original rock walls restored to allow their natural cooling qualities to work. All floors are of marble and windows and doors are in good condition. The kitchen has all necessary facilities but a new fitted kitchen considered. Internally all walls have been painted.
The roof has been recently re-covered and the interior terraces are in good condition.
