The property is located just 12 km far from the Gubbio exit of the E45 road, 16 km from Umbertide and 40 km from Perugia and its S. Egidio airport. Reclined on the flap of Mount Ingino, Gubbio is one of the most ancient towns of Umbria, extremely well preserved over the centuries and rich of monuments testifying its glorious past. Testimony of its ancient origins are the Egubine Tables, one of the most important Italic documents and the Roman Theatre, situated just outside the walls. Dominated by the Basilica of St. Ubaldo, which houses the uncorrupted remains of the patron, Gubbio hosts architectural masterpieces that recall and symbolize the power of this medieval city-state.
The superb urban complex, formed by the Palazzo dei Consoli, which became the symbol of the city, the Cabinet and the Praetorian Palace Square, is from the beginning of the 14th century. To remind there are also the Beni palace and the Bargello with its famous fountain of the Capitano del Popolo. From Renaissance, the Palazzo Ducale of Francesco Giorgio Martini, reminds and documents the importance of the period lived under the rule of Montefeltro of whom duchy the city was an integral part. Extremely interesting are also the Cathedral (XII century), Santa Maria Nuova (in which it is possible to admire the Madonna of the Belvedere, painted by Ottaviano Nelli in 1413), the Church and Convent of St. Augustine (XIII century) with inside Nelli frescoes, the Church and Convent of San Francesco (XIII century), St. Giovanni (XII century) characterized by the facade and Romanesque bell tower, St. Pietro and St. Dominico expanded in 1505. Among the most important events taking place in the city the Corsa dei Ceri and the historical re-enactment of the Palio della Balestra 2010 are the most importants.
