Mafalda, in the province of Campobasso,is a lovely little village situated on a hill at an altitude of 436 meters, close to the Trigno river. In times past its name was ‘’Ripalta sul Trigno’’ and in 1903 it was changed into Mafalda. It has medieval origin which is evident by its characteristic houses of the historic centre.It maintains its old handicraft tradition to make valuable laces, embroideries and knitting.
