Full DescriptionDescription of buildingsHotel Lido, a period building dating back to the end of the 19th century, has been the subject of many postcards and pictures of that period. The complex is composed of two separate buildings and an internal courtyard, the hotel on the left-hand boasting a seafront position and an independent dwelling on the right-hand. The hotel develops over three floors and offers 32 en-suite bedrooms (plus 4 bedrooms in the independent dwelling), in addition to a basement destined to storage and to a terrace which hosts the dressing-rooms and bathrooms of the house staff and the small tower used as termal power station. The mezzanine hosts a reception with a small office, a relax room, a restaurant with professional kitchen and a breakfast hall overlooking the sea. On the same floor there are two bedrooms and wheelchair access bathrooms. The two upstairs floors host 30 bedrooms (15 on each floor), 8 of which offer covered seafront terraces. All the floors are served with a lift, with the exception of the basement which has direct access from the outside. The independent dwelling, closeby the Hotel, beyond the small courtyard, develops over two floors and covers a total surface of 194 sqm. The ground floor is composed of a living area with sitting-room, dining-room and kitchen, while the first floor has 4 bedrooms and a bathroom. Condition Since 1894, when the main building was accomplished, the hotel has survived both the First and the Second World War, when it was occupied by German troops. The modern structure is composed of the former structure plus an extension of the seafront facade. The last restoration of 1996 aimed to renew all the systems, to refurbish the bedrooms adding new bathrooms and to comply with the safety standards dealing with fire regulations and elimination of architectural barriers. The property, currently in service and in perfect condition, is featured by the gorgeous former floors of gravel enriched by floral decorations.
