THE NEW DOMO ADAMI show room in Milan is totally refined, dressy and above all very cosy.

The atelier, a little world of magic in trendy Via Manzoni, has changed its appearance by wearing a brand new dress.

After entering the courtyard in Via Manzoni, you soon find yourself in a sheltered and serene space, where you hear only the sound of future brides’ wishes. The renovated atelier is a multifunctional space, and it’s been described as a place where the different souls of Mauro Adami (below), the founder and creator of Domo Adami ‘meet and melt’.

Adami is a renowned wedding gown designer in Italy who, thanks to his creative background and close work with professionals in the wedding business, is able to offer his brides not just their gown, but everything that comes with it. Domo Adami helps with all the details of the wedding, right down to the catering, naturally ensuring that it suits the bride and that she is made aware of the most up-to-date trends. Domo Adami is constantly researching new designs and materials which earn the company its reputation for elegance, beauty and above all for its unique styles.

Mauro Adami loves anything new and undiscovered which he can adapt to the weddings world. His research enables him to seek out many precious fabrics and unusual materials which he uses to create a new kind of wedding dress combining traditional elegance with the simplicity of a modern, more contemporary style. When you enter the new Domo Adami showroom, you are welcomed by an innovative style that is stunning. Up on the ‘glitter’ platform you find one of the bestselling Domo Adami styles from the latest collections that stands out with elegance and refinement. Below the gown you see beautiful, bejewelled shoes, designed and produced lovingly in partnership with famous international brands.

All around there are gowns in different styles and fabrics: tulle, various types of delicate lace, satin, georgette; it’s like the backstage of a beautiful soft, white theatre. In one corner there is a collection of vintage wedding accessories with favour-bags, wedding ring holders and even jewellery for the bride, which Mauro Adami has discovered over the years in antique markets in Italy and abroad and has reinterpreted with his own impeccable style. The loft is used as a lounge to relax, sip delicious fresh coffee and sample special wedding treats, produced by one of the best confectioners in the country, displayed and offered in elegant and innovative packages.

What are Domo Adami’s future plans for an ever-expanding and hugely popular company? ‘The ideal plan would be to work together with a Russian distributor to expand the market,’ says Mauro Adami. ‘However, for the moment we are really happy with the wonderful stores that we work with in Milan, which now carry selected models from all our stunning collections.’

As we step back down into the showroom, we can see that there really is no need to hurry here, the world can wait. For Domo Adami, the most important thing is to make the wishes come true of all who come through the door into this wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere.
