Priest chooses pregnant girlfriend

A priest in the Sicilian city of Ragusa has chosen love over the Church, daily newspaper La Sicilia said on Thursday.
Don Ignazio Grillo, who has headed the local branch of Catholic charity Caritas for the last three years, said he was hanging up his cassock to be with the woman he loves and with whom he is already expecting a child.
In a letter to Pope Benedict XVI and the bishop of the diocese, Don Grillo said that after thinking things over he realised it was necessary to face up to his ''responsibilities''.
He also asked the bishop to let him marry his pregnant girlfriend in church.
The baby is due in September, a Ragusa daily reported.

aha, so he found this girl at Church...
...and she was happy to have sex with him and then go to Church on Sunday, right? Please, don't make me despise mankind even more. Well, I can understand that she acted so, but what I cannot understand at all is HOW THE HELL _COULD_ she NOT make it public that this priest is a libertine?
And if I think that there are lots of cases like this... my contempt for women grows even more. Over the centuries at least some 100.000 of women were lovers of priests: and well, how much of them published anything about this? (Sorry, if I was at their place... even if I was a Catholic, whom I used to be!) - My disgust about women is greatly growing... Oh yes, "for the sake of public morality..." - in plain English: for the sake of keeping lies and hiding the truth (the truth that could be forgiven anyway!). Thank you, madames!

No, I cannot understand this. I always believed in the Church of rigour: it was this moral hardness that kept me with religion (you know how much torture it causes, for example, on many young people in order to follow its strict teachings).
I don't understand those who feel well in a Church of libertines, who don't see anything shocking in this... I can imagine the type of girl (which was probably brought up without a strict father and she was probably rather a soft dreamer than someone who would torture herself with religion): still, it fills me with disgust. Various people commit so much to religion...
And this is not an isolate case. (Well, if they both didn't believe in God, THEN it would have a value! But here... loathing)
